What are SportUP Divisions?

We’re not the Olympics - come for a fun game and a good laugh!

  • DISCO: Here for a good time over a good score! If you’ve not played before or haven’t played for a few years this is a social beginner friendly competition for you.
    • Division rules:
      • If a team appears in the top 1 or 2 spot on points for 2 consecutive seasons, then your team will be automatically moved to the Boombox Division
      • If your team has played in the Disco division for more than 4 seasons, your team may be moved to the Boombox division (at the discretion of the Manager & Referees).

  • BOOMBOX: Here for a good time over a good score! If you’ve played a few seasons/regularly and want to play against other teams who have done also, this is your space. We’re not the Olympics - come for a fun game and a good laugh.
    • Division rules:
      • While your team may be used to jumping on the court or field regularly - this is still a social competition. Rough & competitive play will not be tolerated, alongside unsportsmanlike or unsocial behaviour.

Feel happier, build friendships, get fitter - and have fun doing it!

What Does Social Mean In Social Sport?

  • SportUP is specifically a social sports organisation, we are not a competitive league and offer social sports competitions for all sorts of teams, from complete beginners to seasoned.
  • Should you play like you're in the NBA/FIFA World Cup/Olympics? We're all here for a good time over the score. If your team does care about winning over enjoyment of the game, SportUP isn't for you. Respect should always be shown to your teammates, the referee and your opposition.
  • Any swearing, unsportsmanlike behaviour, aggressive behaviour, talking back to the referees is not acceptable in SportUP Competitions. if your team or an individual within your team is reported, you will receive an official team warning.
  • 2 Team warnings removes your team from the competition for the remainder of the season. 3 Team warnings removes you from all future SportUP Competitions.
